Helen Higgins

Helen began her career in outdoor education before heading to the classroom to teach high school math. She designed professional learning opportunities at her schools and beyond. After leaving the classroom, Helen came to Stanford's Learning Design & Technology program. Her research and design work focused on the retention of marginalized teachers and ways to support educator community, agency and belonging. She worked with the Center to Support Excellence in Teaching before joining the EduNLP Lab as its first project manager. Helen enjoys exploring the Bay Area by bike and on foot.
